I told a retired manager of a shipping company's New South Wales office about this. He thinks it's funny. All container ships, even small ones like that, have excellent radar and sonar systems. It doesn't matter if it's a dark night or bad weather, they have an accurate picture of what's around them. Someone's in trouble.
